Mike joined the TLI underwriting team in 2025.  He has served over 20 years in the insurance industry, with experience in Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Underwriting, Executive management and Agency ownership.  He holds active licenses in Property & Casualty, Life, and Risk Management.  Mike has also earned the prestigious designation of being a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).

Mike is a Texas native, growing up in the Houston area.  He also spent over 10 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Mike is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, with a minor in Forestry.   While in college, Mike competed in Track & Field and Cross-Country in the former Pac-10 conference.

Outside of work, you can find Mike working on puzzles, hiking the Austin greenbelt, listening to vinyl records or playing golf with his son.
