Continuing Education (CLE)
Every active State Bar of Texas member must complete a minimum of 15 hours of accredited CLE during each MCLE compliance year. Twelve of these hours must be in accredited CLE classes and three of these hours must be in legal ethics/legal professional responsibility. TLI has a library of on-demand CLE already accredited by the State Bar to help TLI insureds meet their minimum CLE requirements. The CLE offerings are FREE for TLI insureds.
TLI Insureds can take CLE for FREE. TLI insureds can email info@tlie.org or rskmgmt@tlie.org for a coupon code that will reduce the cost of your shopping cart to zero. Enter the coupon code on the last screen before checking out.
Attorneys who are not insureds can still take the CLE for a nominal fee.

TLI Insureds will receive a 3% discount for firms that have an average number of TLI provided CLE hours (per attorney) between .75-1.25 hours. Firms with an average number of CLE hours exceeding 1.25 per attorney receive a 5% premium credit. Please note that this discount does not apply to the niche Essential policies (New Attorney, Part-Time and Referral Service) or the Judge policy. Additionally, the discount does not apply to premium paid for excess policies or for limits in excess of $5 million. For questions about discount eligibility, email info@tlie.org.

We repeat courses with new course numbers annually in some cases. If you haven’t taken this year’s version, you can get credit for taking a course with the same number as in the past. We review the content, and post revised information with the course.
TLI offers in person CLEs to its member law firms, bar and lawyer association groups, inns of court, and law schools. We offer CLE on a variety of ethics and best practices issues, as well as training for non-lawyer staff to help a firm ensure that their non-lawyer staff are in compliance with the lawyer’s ethical duties and responsibilities.
