These forms must be signed, but a digital signature is acceptable. Or you can print the forms to complete and sign them.
A signed and dated Warranty and Subscribers Agreement is required in order to bind coverage. If you have not already provided it along with your application, the agreement can be downloaded.
Additional information is sometimes required to complete your application. If needed, these supplemental forms can be downloaded.
Existing TLIE insureds will receive a pre-filled Renewal Application Package approximately two months before their policy’s renewal date. If you do not receive your renewal application or need another copy, please contact us
Under Article 1.7 of the TLIE policy, an attorney who joins the firm during the Policy Period is automatically covered for their acts on behalf of the Named Insured firm, without any additional charge for the remainder of the Policy Period. Vise-versa, if an attorney leaves the firm during the Policy Period, there will be no refund of premium. As such, you do not need to contact TLIE regarding any attorney modifications during this time. Please be sure to indicate any changes on your next renewal application.
You do not need to contact TLIE regarding mid-term changes to your firm’s name. Please see Article 1.7 of the policy and indicate the change on your next renewal application. However, if your firm is undergoing significant changes that result in a materially new entity, please reach out to TLIE to determine whether you will need to complete a new business application.
If you submitted an online application, you can access your updated Declarations page via our portal. Otherwise, please email info@tlie.org.
Under normal circumstances, you can expect to receive a quote within two business days. If that timeframe has passed, please check your email, including your spam filter. If you still haven’t received a response, kindly be patient; an underwriter will reach out to you if they need any additional information.
Please attach a copy of your current policy, including the Declarations page and any endorsements, along with a completed new business application. This will enable the underwriters to assess any prior acts coverage effectively.
Note: This applies only if the firm submitting the application is currently insured, not if you are simply a member of another law firm that has insurance.
