TLI is proud to announce that the 2024 policy distribution totaled $3,500,000! This amount was approved by the TLI Board of Directors at the December 2024 Board Meeting.
TLI is the only legal malpractice insurance company in Texas that is owned by the Texas lawyers and judges that it insures. When claims are favorable, TLI is able to return excess profits to its policyholders. Unlike a commercial insurance company, a member-owned company like TLI exists solely to serve the insurance needs of policyholders, not to produce investment profits for stockholders.
Over the past several years, TLI’s claim experience has been very favorable and enabled TLI to lower its premium rates, reduce its dependence on reinsurance and return record amounts to its policyholders. Over the past 28 years, TLI has returned a total of $81,300,000 to its policyholders! The amount of each policyholder’s distribution is based on the premium paid by the policyholder.
