TLIE offers two types of professional liability insurance policies for Texas lawyers. In general, the Regular Policy provides more comprehensive legal malpractice insurance coverage than the Basic Policy. TLIE also offers a policy for certain Texas judges. The policy terms may also be changed by endorsement. You should carefully read the policies and any endorsements before deciding which policy best fits your needs.

The deductible on all TLIE policies are aggregate deductibles, unless otherwise noted. This means that the maximum amount owed as deductible during a policy period, regardless of the number of claims, is the deductible amount chosen. Some other carriers have "per claim" deductibles which are deductibles applicable for each and every claim.
