Cyber Liability Coverage
TLPIA, a wholly owned TLIE subsidiary, is pleased to announce that we now offer cyber liability and data breach insurance to most Texas law firms. Cyber insurance protects a law firm and its clients in the event of security breaches – for example, computer viruses, hacker attacks or even a stolen laptop – that can result in the loss of a client’s or third party’s personal information.
The “Internet Security and Privacy” policy available through TLPIA is underwritten by Aspen American Insurance Company and administered by Crump Insurance Services, Inc. The policy pays for the cost of notifying affected parties of a security breach and for certain liabilities caused by a security breach. Available policy limits range from $50,000 to $1,000,000, and premiums are more affordable than you might think.
