TLIE now has the ability to provide policies with aggregate limits of up to $20,000,000 (even higher if needed) to those firms that meet our underwriting and minimum premium criteria.
We are able to offer these increased limits because of greatly expanded capacity made possible by direct agreements with our reinsurers and the ability, through our wholly owned subsidiary, Texas Lawyers Professional Insurance Agency (TLPIA), to place coverage in the open market.
TLIE can now write policies with limits of up to $20 million for qualified firms. Through TLPIA and LawPro Insurance Agency (TLIE’s exclusive marketing agent), we have the ability to place excess coverage over TLIE’s primary policies. To date, our largest request for coverage, which we were able to place, has been $40 million in total coverage for a single firm. Higher total limits are available for qualified firms.
