A. M. Best Affirms TLIE "A- (Excellent)" Rating

The A.M. Best Company, which is probably the most widely known insurance company rating service, recently affirmed its A- (Excellent) rating for Texas Lawyers' Insurance Exchange.

Best states after their analysis of TLIE's operating results for 1999: "This rating affirmation reflects the exchange's continued operating profitability, conservative operating strategy, commitment to reserve adequacy, and overall financial strength. These positive rating factors are derived from the exchange's commitment to Texas attorneys by providing a stable market focused on high quality service. The rating also acknowledges the exchange's extensive knowledge of the Texas legal environment and strong presence as a long-term writer of professional liability insurance for attorneys in that state."
