Recently, a potential new member expressed surprise to learn that TLIE is an insurance company, not an agency. While TLIE is affiliated with Texas Lawyers' Professional Insurance Agency, that agency is used mainly used for placement of excess insurance at present. We are also affiliated with Texas Associates Insurers for the placement of insurance other than lawyers professional liability insurance. When you deal with TLIE for your lawyers professional liability insurance needs, in most cases you are talking directly with a representative of the insurance company, not an agent.
